For those familiar with the enchanting world of "How to Train Your Dragon," the inspiration behind my endeavor might resonate. In 2020, I started a journey with a scholarship from the Barry Foundation to fund my academic and research costs. I named this venture the Dragon Project: a quest to explore the realms of emotional health and intelligence as they pertain to academic, professional, and personal growth.

The core hypothesis was simple yet profound: by nurturing emotional well-being and intelligence, and by weaving the threads of emotional quotient (EQ) into the fabric of daily life, individuals could thrive across all spheres of existence. Much like the film's protagonist, who, rather than battling the dragons, learns to understand and befriend them, I believed that one has no need to possess the brute strength of a Viking to conquer life's challenges. Instead, by forging alliances with our inner dragons, we could soar to new heights.

The research details aside, the emphasis was on applying emotional intelligence through workshops on mindfulness, meditation, and stress management, which concluded in 2022. However, my personal journey continues to this day. The key takeaway is that growth is a lifelong endeavor. There's no final summit to reach; the journey is ongoing. As our friend Miley puts it, "There is always gonna be another mountain." Emotional intelligence, like any other growth journey, is perpetual. 🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔🏔

I’ve come to terms with much of my emotional turbulence, realizing that life doesn't need to be as structured as I once thought. I once imagined myself as a dragon trainer — always wrestling with fire, determined to keep my emotions under control. But here’s the paradox: the real strength came not from tightening my grip, but from letting go. I don’t need to rationalize or rigidly train every emotion; I can simply accept them, act when I choose, and allow them to pass as they will. There is no perfect emotion; we will handle them as they arise. Sometimes the wisest move is just to chill, eat the ice cream, and trust you’ll burn it off tomorrow.

The Evolution

🏠Today, I'm making a conscious shift. The project is evolving from Dragon to Dimora, focusing on journeys and growth, primarily at home or wherever we reside . This makes growth more accessible and convenient for both you and me.

💰While the previous project was about growth and exploration, the new one emphasizes meaningful journeys that also enhance our financial well-being. It's about creating fulfilling work that brings additional income to enjoy life even more. Let’s trend up through journeys of meaning, making, and money.

Investment in Self

📈The Dimora project also emphasizes self-investment and mindset development.

√Emotions stem from the mind, so by expanding our mental horizons, we can address the root causes. This might involve foundational self-work, healing past traumas, wearing red color to balance your root chakra, or simply being mindful of your breath every once in a while when you get a chance.

🔜Stay tuned for more...

On the journey,
